The Rrazz Room San Francisco mourns the passing of the great Sir John Dankworth. Sir John, one of the world's greatest saxophone players and the husband of singer and actress Dame Cleo Laine, passed away in England on February 6. "The Dankworths have become a family to all of us here at The Rrazz Room, from our loyal patrons who flocked to see these two international jazz innovators on their annual multiple week engagements, to our tech and wait staff. All of us who have had the great honor to have met Sir John, have come away a better person for that opportunity." states both Rrazz Room co-owners Robert Kotonly and Rory Paull. "We send our heart felt condolences to the entire Dankworth family, and know they will bask in the talent and humanity of this exceptional human being." |
